Supporting Information “Walks of Prayer”

How nice and how good that you look at this page and want to participate in “Walks of prayer”. We the local church “Living in the Word” in the Netherlands, are very motivated to do this project with as many Christians as possible. Several people in our congregation had recently a certain impression of going for a walk and pray. The great thing is that those impressions were received separately from each other and these thoughts did not let go of us. That is why we now want to put this into practice.

We’re so looking forward to what God is going to do through this. We expect great breakthroughs from God’s kingdom here on earth and believe that the prayers will bless the world and the believers.

If you get in later with this promotion, that is also possible. We hope and pray that as many people as possible will participate and put that in God’s hands.

What to do when you want to join?

  1. From Tuesday, May 25 to Monday, June 7, there will be a different theme every day for which prayers will be held in the open air. You can find out which theme is next on this page and in the poster and will be shared daily on our Facebook page.
  2. We do not designate a special place; you are free to meet up with someone, with a group or to go alone. Be alert to the advice of the government.
  3. You are also free of how you pray, how often you pray and of course you may also pray for other things than just the theme that is next. Furthermore, below we offer supporting Bible texts for each theme so that you can also use them with prayers.
  4. As you pray, you may have an experience that you would like to share. We encourage this at all times! Write it on your Facebook page, tell others and we offer the option to write your experience in the comments of a post from our Facebook page “Leveninhetwoord”.
  5. For further questions, please refer to our contact page: www.leveninhetword.nl/contact

We pray and believe that this is going to be a very blessed time for you too. God is a rewarder for those who earnestly seek Him, says Hebrews 11: 6, and we pray and declare that also about you.

Shalom,

Team “Living in the Word”

Your kingdom come. Your will be done, as it is in heaven on earth.

John 4: 35-38

Don’t you say, Four months more, and then will the harvest come? Behold, I say to you, Lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white to harvest.

And he who reaps receives wages and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and who reaps may rejoice together.

For herein the proverb is true: One sows, another reaps.

I have sent you to reap what you have not made an effort for; others have made an effort, and you have reaped the fruit of their effort.

Luke 10: 2

Then he said to them, The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore pray to the Lord of the harvest that He will send out laborers into His harvest.

Pray for peace for Jerusalem, let those who love you prosper. Let peace be within your ramparts, rest in your castles. For the sake of my brothers and my friends I now speak: Peace be in you! For the sake of the house of the Lord our God will I seek that which is good for you.

Saturday May 29 (Business):

Psalm 1: 1

Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,

who does not stand in the way of sinners, who does not sit in the seat of mockers, but who rejoices in the law of the Lord, and meditates his law day and night.

whose leaves do not fall off; whatever he does will be successful.

Deuteronomy 8: 14-18

Take heed that then your heart will not lift up, and forget you the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slaves;

Who led you into that great and terrible desert, with poisonous snakes, scorpions, and drought, where there was no water; Who sent water out of hard rock for you,

Who made you eat manna in the wilderness, which your fathers knew not, that he might humble you, and try you, to do you well in the end;

and let not you say in your heart, My own strength and the might of my own hand has gotten this wealth for me.

But you must keep in mind the Lord your God, that it is He Who gives you power to get wealth, that He might confirm His covenant which He made under oath with your fathers, as it is today .

Tuesday June 1 (Arts, Sports and Entertainment):

Matthew 5: 13-16

You are the salt of the earth; but when the salt has lost its taste, with what will it be salted? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by the people. You are the light of the world. A city on top of a mountain cannot be hidden. Neither do they light a lamp and put it under a bushel, but on the stand, and it shines for all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

Lord, who will reside in Your tent? Who will dwell in Your holy mountain? He who walks uprightly and works righteousness, who speaks the truth with his heart. He who does not blaspheme with his tongue, does no harm to his friends, and takes no reproach against his neighbor. In his eyes the reprobate is despised, but those who fear the Lord he honors.

If he has sworn to his own harm, he will not change his oath. He does not lend his money at interest, he does not accept a gift to the detriment of the innocent. He who does these things will not be moved forever.

1 Thessalonians 2: 12-13

We called you to walk worthy of God, Who calls you to His Kingdom and glory. That is why we also give thanks to God without ceasing that when you received from us the Word of God preached, you received it, not [as] a word of man, but (as it really is) is also active in you who believe.
